David Brushwood received his pharmacy degree and his law degree from the University of Kansas. David practiced both professions before entering academia in 1982. He served as President of ASPL from 1986 to 1988. David is Professor Emeritus of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy at the University of Florida, having retired from that university in 2014. He currently is Senior Lecturer at the University of Wyoming, where he teaches online graduate courses. David recently completed a book manuscript titled "Pharmaceutical Homicide" that will be published by Kendall Hunt. He lives in Wenatchee, Washington, where he and his wife Chris moved to be closer to their children and grandchildren.
