Joan Martens is a registered pharmacy technician in Minnesota and Florida and nationally certified through PTCB. After obtaining a degree in Biology and teaching high school and middle school science for 4 years she switched careers to pharmacy. She started in retail pharmacy as a technician and worked her way up to Pharmacy Manager at an independent pharmacy that provided retail, compounding, and long term care services in northern Minnesota. After relocating to Florida she worked briefly as a clinical technician for a small pbm before landing in a specialty oncology pharmacy as a prior authorization technician. Joan is currently Pharmacy Operations Supervisor at AON Pharmacy, the oral oncology pharmacy for American Oncology Network.
